I come bearing my New Year's 2008 Gift.
This was done around June 2007.
The subs comes in a bit late, by the way.
DISCLAIMER: Translations are by nyanchan
If you haven't watch it yet, DO NOT GO BEYOND THIS POINT!
There will be spoilers.
---------------------------------
Suppin was Arashi's first ever concert.
We know that some of the boys have doubts in joining Arashi, up until Iza, Now.
And we see Sho casting his doubts aside in this clip.
This was a touching moment for Arashi.
The end of their very first concert.
Why did I choose to release this clip at the end of this year?
It somewhat reflect my life here in Vox.
The end of my very first year in this fandom!
2007 was the first year I discovered JE and got active in the internet life.
Arashi have somewhat cheered me up in times when I'm down.
They are wonderful boys that deserves the love that all of you have been giving them.
They've been through a lot and have grown mature from those tough times.
We have been touched by their stories of hardships and their tears of joy.And not to forget their half-naked spreads on magazines.
I like those guys for their personalities.
I love them even better when they are together.
Different people but heading to the same goal- To make Arashi a success.
And in the progress, creating chaos for us all to laugh over.
And I'll never forget the fangirls.
If you refer to my previous posts, you'll know that I appreciate the fangirls very much.
Regardless whether they have contributed to the fandom or not.
'Spreading the rabu rabu' is already more than enough.
And I have expressed before that the Arashi fans that I know of are absolutely amazing.
Translating, subbing, uploading, moderating, blogging, scanning, drawing...
The list goes on.
I've met many great friends and fans from all around the world.
Although our obsessive ways are pretty ridiculous,
but most of the fans are still very much sane and mature.
I've learned how you think and I've learned from your thinkings.
Thank you very much for accepting me in your circle.
As for me,
after juggling between jobs and assignments,
JE have lost it's touch on me.
I've somewhat withdrawn myself from the fandom.
Not just Arashi, not just V6, but the whole of JE.
Although I'm not as interested in Arashi/JE as I obsessively was,
it's pretty impossible to forget the community here.
Or as Mr. Johnny might say:
"YOU! It's absolutely impossible to forget YOU!"
I've seen friends whom have been around here during the start,
but have somewhat disappeared now at the ending.
(I miss them very much)
Therefore, I'm not deleting this Vox.
I'd still be using this account to keep track with the fangirls (probably once in a week?)
Feel free to delete me off your list if you'd like.
I know there's nothing so awesome about having a dead Vox in your flist.
And YahooMail have never yet fail to retrieve notifications from Vox.
So if there happens to be any message or comments here, I'll definitely know about it right away.
As a literal meaning of MatsuJun's speech at the end of the clip,
that this is not the end and they'll be back later for another concert,
it's quite the same with this post too.
This post is not a goodbye.
I'll still be coming here probably once in a blue moon.
Now that we're all stepping into a new year, 2008,
let's just celebrate for the year that we've spent with each other (and Arashi too).
Although I don't say it with sweet words,
I love you.
No. I'm not talking about Nino's Haikei drama.
But I'm talking about my father.
Here's a question:
What is one of the more possible awkward facts of your father that you can discover?
Yes, he spilled out that he have been following my blogs.
ALL of my blogs.
Personal blogs and... Vox.
Which is the lair of my constant fangirling on Arashi.
He reads them.
So I guess he knows that if I EVER fail my SPM exams, it would be because of Arashi.
What do you guys think?
Would you be freaked out by this?
I was somewhat surprised, but I'm too tired to start over an anonymous new blog.
So he can read all he wants.
Because I have another 340958340468 anonymous blogs around the world!
And this message is specially for YOU!
Do you know that my current TOP crush is not in Arashi?
Yes, he's Sakamoto Masayuki of V6!
(Yeah, I bet you'll research on this guy on Wiki)
He's the old fart with the age of 36.
He's old enough to be my own father, but I find him VERY VERY ATTRACTIVE!Look look!
Don't you think he's just GOR-GEOUS?!?!
And I have half naked pictures of him too, you know?
Hah! There you go!
I wonder if fathers can pass out from shock if they found out something disturbing about their daughter.
Like flailing obsessively over a man- who is old enough to be her father.
-------------
Pass this point, I'll be back to 'sane' mode and will not talk about my father any longer.
On a side note,
I've prepared all of you a New Year's gift!
It's something I've done quite a long time ago, but haven't released.
It'll be posted by the end of this year.
My father probably wouldn't approve of the next boyfriends I'll have...
Honestly, I don't really mind leechers that doesn't comment.
It's annoying, but it's fine.
What I REALLY REALLY don't approve of are leechers who don't just 'leech away',
but also complain, blab, and just nag without considering the other people.
Remember how YouTube was such a grand website???
It's still grand now, but when it first started out, it basically has no limits!
but because of it's growing popularity, it have got masses of people using their bandwith to view videos.
So they had to put up restrictions.
Only a maximum of 10 minutes clip.
And THIS itself has got people crazy.
This rule don't just save on bandwith,
but it discourage copyrighted materials to be uploaded- movies, dramas (unless they're uploaded in parts).
And then there was YouTube's flagging season.
Early of this year, a lot of videos had to be taken down because they were flagged for copyrighted materials.
I was annoyed at this.
A lot of my random favorite Arashi clips were deleted.
You KNOW it is wrong to upload such copyrighted media.
They did the right thing when they flagged the videos.
They were reporting some pirated stuff.
And yet these people can be so pissed off and cursed the website like hell.
"Dude, these stuff are not supposed to even be on the internet.
So why the heck are you actually doing a petition to cancel their rights
to delete JDramas and Animes?!?!"
Yes, they actually did a petition to rebel against the deletion of JDramas and Animes.
How lame is that?
It's like Paris Hilton doing her petition to free her from jail when she really have been charged guilty from her crime!
I'm not too fond of the flaggings,
but I don't have the right to complain either because I was just leeching off and watched it for free,
instead of paying for the actual media.
Then there was Veoh's policy for a 5 minute preview.
They actually made 543532 threads just to complain about it in Veoh's forum.
It's like EACH user made up THEIR OWN THREAD for their own complaints.
NOT ALL videos had that condition.
And yet, people are complaining like
"How am I supposed to watch my anime now, you a$$h01e!"
Dude, you can just download it.
And if you can't download it, the uploader will have to upload them in parts.
If you have no power to do neither of those, please go find somewhere else to leech off.
Yes, they do want to go somewhere else to leech.
"Man, this website used to be the best. Now it SUCKS BAD!
I'm going back to YouTube!"
"Yeah! Me too! That ought to teach the mod what a $h1ttY job they've done for putting up restrictions!"
... and what are you still doing in that forum?
JUST GO BACK TO YOUTUBE ALREADY THEN!
Pestering on how you'll go back to YouTube/DailyMotion...
just go ahead to the websites already.
You don't need to say it out LOUD and say it REPEATEDLY.
Then what boils me up recently,
Crunchyroll's bandwith limit.
No, I'm not mad at Crunchyroll for limiting their bandwith.
It's understandable considering Shinji (founder & maintainer) is only a college guy.
Unlike YouTube and Veoh,
Crunchyroll doesn't really have corporate sponsors to pay up their bandwith.
And Crunchyroll is not heavily ad supported like the other streaming videos either.
Meaning, Shinji had to depend on his own pocket money and donations.
maintain a MAJOR FREE streaming site?
There's not many donators either.
They are limiting it by the amount of information retrieved from your computer.
Approximately 5 videos.
To enjoy it to the full benefit,
you can donate a minimum of 6 dollars.
And this got leechers cursing their hearts out.
"WTF?! I really love this website because it's free. And now we have to PAY?!?!"
Dude, did you read the notice???
It only LIMITS your daily bandwith usage from the website.
It does not cut you off entirely form watching the videos.
IF you want more,
THEN you can donate.
The only reason we're still able to live happily in this community is because
there are some really generous people who doesn't mind MAKING IT FREE for us.
Prime example are free video streaming websites.
Bandwith is PRICEY.
Leechers shouldn't expect everything to be all sunshine and rainbows for the site maintainers.
So when the site maintainers decides to make a change or put up restrictions,
let it be.
It's their site and their responsibilities.
Even if you stop visiting the site,
others who appreciates it, will still be there.
It's not the end of the site when a group of leechers stop coming over.
Feedback is good.
But feedbacks are comments in a polite manner.
Not cursing the maintainers to doom's end!
I've heard about the rumor that 'they' were dating before.
But suddenly it's becoming pretty BIG.
And it's not even a 'declaration of them being together'.
It's just a news that they are moving in the same building (different doors, neighbors).
The news didn't really catch my eye though.
There were the common--
"Really?! I didn't know this!"
"OMG! If it is true, I'm so happy for Nino!"
"I don't mind who he's dating, as long he's happy."
"They are a cute match after all..."
"I hope JE approves them!"
Yeah, we all love Nino too much.
And we'll still love him even if he's married, let alone dating someone.
----Then suddenly, out of the blues...
"Eih?! Good la... But what about his boyfriends?!"
"Poor Oh-chan."
"What is he going to tell Oh-chan? And Sho-chan? Jun-kun and Ma-chan too!"
"He had a girlfriend AND 4 boyfriends at the same time?!"
The news of Nino and his gf is NOTHING compared to all of your simple conversations!
I haven't read the review yet.
Which review?
The review about Nino being too short for his role... maybe.
I don't know.
No one provided a link of it yet.
And I haven't had an encounter with it yet.
So I don't really know what the full review is all about.
But there are statements in blogs stating that the review includes the fact that
Nino was too short to play the role of Yamada Tarou.
Ever since the time when the rumor of Nino playing Yamada Tarou was up on Arashi@vox,
I do anticipate this review.
Yamada Tarou is a very handsome man. He's athletic, tall, talented...
Taro is pretty much a perfect guy.
BUT Nino is NOT tall.
And I know Nino is NOT handsome in the eyes of many people.
As much as I really really really like Nino to act out that part (plus he's my ichiban),
I do accept this truth.
He certainly does not seem handsome to me.
But another fangirl somewhat comforted me saying,
He might not be handsome or tall.
But he is very talented.
He can surely carry that character!
To which my thoughts immediately went,
That's right!
Nino ain't got the handsome/macho face like Sho!
He ain't got the height too!BUT-HE-GOT-TALENT!
And what do you know!
The girl was right!
Nino brought so much life to the character!
I can imagine a lot of other Tarou-look-alike hot guys acting out the role
but I don't think any of them can make a cartoon character so alive!
So really, does it matter that Nino did not bring out the character as a handsome guy?
Instead he portrayed it as a very sweet guy, who is very much human, but yet very much real.
Wouldn't you have preferred THAT over the first option?
Well, it's all a question of personal preferences.
For Nino have talent,
I'm pretty confident that he'll be fine with almost any characters.
Which leads me to a pretty unique character in mind...
Domyouji Tsukasa.
What if he is to play that character?
The adorably stupid, sarcastic, egoistic, snotty character?
Could Nino have pulled it off?
Can he do it better than Jun, despite the fact that he is not as good looking?
And can he perm his hair drastically to the point of extreme?!
Lol, Hemingway!
Since I now hardly get to watch Arashi on videos,
(due to my busy schedule, lack of time, and my mother watching my back)
I printed out pictures instead and stuck them to my organizer.
5 pictures of Nino
1 picture of Arashi
So, during class,
I would occasionally smile to myself in pain -
Feeling that I really miss the boys.
I would peek up at my organizer
and squeal smile to myself in delight to see our gorgeous boys.
Before, I can only blab to my friends
about how much I love Arashi and how much I miss them.
None of them have ever 'seen' Arashi.
But not anymore!
Though there are lots more of Nino's pictures,
they didn't comment much on him.
(It's typical since Nino's not the BEST looking guy there)
When I asked who's the one they like most from the Arashi picture,
all of them answered Sho-chan!
Jaez: Erm... I was expecting more answers of Jun. He's the handsome/hot one...
Friends: Eeeww! You have a very bad taste. He is no better than the cute/hot/handsome/sexy guy! (Sho)
And I don't get what you see in that Nano of yours.
(it's Nino, mind you)
That's their way of showing how annoyed they are because of my random fangirling of Arashi.
During field trips and such,
I would bring my cellphone and show them Arashi's PVs.
Usually I'll start with 'We Can Make It!',
where as usual, Sho is SO loved!
The only reason my friend asked me to transfer the PV to her cellphone is because
She Likes Sho.
Whenever her phone memory runs low,
she would delete anything else BUT the PV!
Responses from friends about Sho ~~ :
- Sho is the only one handsome here.
- He's the only one that doesn't look gay.
- He's the only one that doesn't look like a transvestite.
- He's the only one that looks like a REAL tough guy.
- He's the only macho guy there.
- He's the only one that looks like the leader of the group!
RANDOM: I've just noticed that Sho-bait rhymes with Sho-beat!
Of course,
when you are a fangirl of Arashi,
you will suddenly feel that you have a responsibility of
spreading what we call - The Arashi Rabu Rabu.
When I first got into this fandom,
I tend to see fangirls repeating this line:
Spread the Arashi rabu rabu!!!
Rabu Rabu? Wednesdays Wednesdays?
(In Malay, Rabu means Wednesday)
To which my reaction was:
What the heck is wrong with these people???!!!
Such a lame tagline! At least be creative dohzza!
Pardon me for such words.
I've had a lot of fandoms before, but I've never actually been involved in the community.
So I wasn't used to the different behavior of fangirls.
But yeah,
I find any people who said that out loud to be freaks of the fandom.
But it turns out, people like me then, are the REAL freaks of the fandom!
After submerging into more Arashi communities,
it seems like EVERYBODY is saying it!
I later on found out that 'RabuRabu' means 'LoveLove'.
And it means to spread out Arashi Love.
I got my friends to like Arashi!
Up to this date, I've got 2 people to LOVE Arashi!
So I'm spreading the Arashi Rabu Rabu, right?
Now, I couldn't really care how much lame it sounds.
I've become one of those typical Arashi fangirls that shouts out:
SPREAD THE ARASHI RABU RABU!
Finally got around to watching Pikanchi 2: Life Is Hard Dakara Happy.
Like I said in my post before regarding Pikanchi 1,
the only character I'm looking out for is Nino's character.
But after watching about 1/3 of this movie,
I started getting interested in MatsuJun's and Sho's character too.
They now added more in-depth in most of the characters.
The characters now actually have a purpose for appearing in the movie!
Aiba is probably getting the least attention in this movie.
(He gets the most attention in the first movie anyways)
When the movie started out,
you get to see Nino returning after 3 years since their separation.
It was fun to see how a lot of things change... and how they change in a very weird way.
When I saw Sho being a salary man,
I was pretty shocked.
And he was happily married at that!
I thought he would still be riding on his scooter vandalizing public properties.
And the 2 idiots from the first movie ended up to own a cafe under a bridge?!?!
I pretty much cringed at how Aiba has changed.
He used to be the most normal out of the five of them.
Now, he's the weirdest of them all!
"Shun Men!"
Ohno seems like he used to be.
Still with that old lady.
Ohno is probably the one that changes least.
Nino... is so gorgeous!
I know some people don't really like his Dragonball hair,
but I find it really suitable with him in this movie.
This movie, wasn't as heartwarming as before.
Even the 'Michi' song they sang in the end doesn't have the same effect as the first movie did.
Maybe it's because that in this second movie,
they are not focusing on the friendship of the 5 guys anymore.
I feel that it's now diverged to how each of them grew up and changed.
Watching this movie made me think what might I be like in the future?
Maybe now I would look at some depressing adults (like the ones in the 'party boat')
and swore that I'll never be like them.
But maybe... just maybe... I might.
Under certain circumstances I might change.
This movie succeeded in making me feel more cautious about growing up.
Though the 'Michi' song lost it's effect on me,
(I was too distracted with thoughts like "NINO'S VOICE IS SOOO PURE HERE!")
It was the first time that I'm able to 'feel' the ending song (Pikanchi Double).
Moreover that they included the real citizens of Yashio in the ending credits.
I never watched the PV until the end because it seems to be boring.
Just them dancing on the roof and singing... "Are they lost on the roof?!"
Overall, Pikanchi 2 is a much more fun movie than the previous.
Though it's fun, it's not really a touching movie.
(Ahh... reminiscing the hanging scene from movie 1)
There are more scenes to look out for here.
One of my favorites is the scene where the 2 old ladies from Yashio are aplying makeup and wig,
wearing the American flag dress,
after just a few seconds of distraction, when we came back to old ladies,
"(Gawking) Illusion! They're all illusions!"
The main one would be the scene where Nino sang the Michi song to stop Ohno from shooting the bazooka.
They added a second verse of this song here.
I swear I was smiling the whole time when Nino sang.
Then when Jun and the other crowds joined,
"Stop singing! All of your voices are not as pure as Nino's!"
Took this from Zaizaiaddict's vox (which was originally formulated from Bahykubo07's LJ
There will be certain questions that I will imagine the scenario first before answering.
And most of the time it'll only be with certain members of Arashi.
Names in green are my answers.
DISCLAIMER:
These are only my imagination! They do not depict how the real reactions of Arashi members might be!
Results may vary!
1. Who would I get caught in bed with?
Since the term used is 'get caught', I'll assume that it only means coincidentally being witnessed in bed together (not sleeping together)
Jun -
Say someone caught me and Jun together. Of course Jun is hot and all. But most probably the witness will gasp and goes around shouting "She slept with a girl! She slept with a GIRL!"
Ohno -
When someone caught us together, and later on spreads the news around town, all Ohno will be doing is probably, "Oh, she's spreading rumors about us. Oh well."
And goes off just like that. Not much thrill...
Sho -
After getting caught, Sho will most probably take an umbrella to poke the witness "Shut up!"
But then since I'm with Sho, I will hide him in my closet and goes around town shouting
"Yes! Believe the rumors! I'm sleeping with the heavenly body of Sakurai Sho!"
Nino -
We both got caught and the witness goes around spreading rumors.
"Nino! She's spreading rumors about us! Then everybody will talk about it!"
To which Nino will reply with a devilish smirk,
"Well, let's give them something to talk about then."
(Kyaa! Nino's devilish smirk!)
2. Who I most likely get into a fight with?
I don't really have a close relationship with them, so it's hard to imagine what we're going to fight about.
But my answer is Nino.
Most probably because he's sarcastic and always making nasty comments.
3. Who do I think is hot?
Well, can't imagine a scenario of this too since it's based more on my opinion than actions.
My answer: Sho and Jun.
Sho is hot as in macho-guy hot.
Jun is hot as in b-e-a-u-tifully feminine hot.
4. Who will I most likely marry?
Ah, I'm now recalling their proposal lines from Shukudai.
Aiba -
*Jumps into the taxi and drives away with Aiba -chan to Town Hall*Shall we go to the Town Hall to register our marriage together? I'll call the taxi.....
But ne, I really am not attracted to Aiba in that way.
Jun -
Jun-kun you're wrong! I'm not good at cooking at all.I am thinking that you have always been very good at cooking, can we get married and you cook for me every day?
I can only cook you Maggie and feed you that everyday.
As much as I'd like to marry you, I don't want you to get poisoned from my hazardous cooking.
Ohno -
To which I will reply, "YES, SIR!"You! Marry me!!!!!!
But like Aiba, I'm not attracted to Ohno in that way.
Sho -
Sho-chan is L-A-M-E! ...My computer is frozen on me , my heart has been frozen since 5 years ago, please give my heart a 'CLICK' Let's get married.
*Clicks away MADLY*
But Sho is the perfect husband for me after all.
Nino -
"Aloha 6th year! I'm Nino's wife!"We have already been dating for 5 years, can you go with me into our 6th year together as my wife?
*Kidnaps Nino from jimusho and elopes to Vegas*
5. Who will I go on a date with?
Nino -
"Nino, let's go on a date!"
"No! I want to beat this level first. Go on a date by yourself."
*Continues playing his Nintendo DS*
Ohno -
"Ohno, let's go on a date!"
"Oh... okay."
"Ohno, where are we going for our date?"
"Up to you..."
"Ohno, how about we go to the park?"
"Oh... okay..."
I've had a guy like this before. And NO, I don't like this at all.
Aiba -
"Aiba, let's go on a date!"
"Yosh! Let's go!"
"Aiba! Where are we going?"
"Let's first go to the park! Then we go to the arcade! Then we go eat! Then we go to the mall! Then we go eat again! Then we go...!"
This is the only question that I'll answer- Aiba.
He's hyper, and maybe I can't keep up.
But at least I won't get bored on dates.
6. Who is most like me?
Sho will be the answer.
Lousy at sports, careless, l-a-m-e... we have a lot in common.
Except a hot body!
7. Who I could be enemies with?
Nino, same reason like Question2.
*Shoots death glares at his eyes*
But but but, I LOVE THE ENEMY!
8. Who would be my hang out/shopping buddy?
Nino -
"Nino! Let's go shopping!"
"Sure! But YOU PAY!"
Wargh! Cheapskate Nino!
Cannot cannot cannot be my shopping buddy!
Aiba is for 'hanging out'. Same reason as Question 5.
Jun-
"Jun! Let's go shopping!"
"Sure."
*Stops by at a clothing shop*
*Picks a top and shows to Jun*
"Jun, how do you think this top look on me?"
"It looks ugly! Here, try this."
*Jun picks another top and matches it with me*
Ahh... the idea of Jun picking my clothes. I would look gorgeous with whatever he pick.
Seeing that he has a better sense of fashion than mine.
Sho-
"Sho-chan! Today's my birthday! Let's go shopping!"
"Yosh!"
*Pulls Sho to an Apple/Mac shop with hidden agenda*
"Sho, didn't you get Nino 2 iPods???"
"Yes. Oh, today's your birthday, right? I'll get you 2 iPods!"
"Yayyy!"
*Pulls Sho to a Rolex shop with purpose*
"Sho! Look! It's a new model of a Rolex watch! Didn't you get Nino one before???"
"Yes, I did get him one for his birthday. Ah, since it's your birthday, let me get one for you too!"
"Kyaa! Sho! I love you!"
9. Who will I have a one night stand with?
Ohno -
"Ohno! Let's go have a one night stand!"
"Oh... okay..."
And you have killed any lust in me if you react to me like that, Ohno.
Aiba -
"Aiba! Let's have a one night stand!"
"Okay! Sounds fun... But, what is a 'one night stand'???"
That reaction would be cute! But I will lost the sex appeal in you.
Nino -
"Nino! Let's have a one night stand!"
He will reply with a devilish smirk, "Yosh!"
*Carries me off to the nearest hotel*
Seriously, I can just melt right there when he flashes one of his devilish grins.
10. Who will get along with my parents/family?
Aiba -
"Aiba, come introduce yourself to my parents. And tell them more about yourself. Like what you do for work..."
"Ah! Mine name is Aiba Masaki desu!
I go see animals! DANGER DANGER! VERY DANGER!"
Cute! But I'm afraid my parents would get a heart attack because he's so hyper.
Jun -
"Jun! Come over and meet my family. Mom, dad, this is the person I've been dating."
"GASPS! Dear?! Why are you dating a girl???"
Sho -
"Mom, dad, this is Sho!"
"Hello, I'm a graduate of Keio University with Economics as major. I come from a very good family. I understand English, therefore I can understand what Otosan and Okaasan are talking about.
I am very good with kids. And I love kids!"
*Sho flashes one of his wonderful and polite smiles*
11. Who would I fall in love with?
Nino-chan! ... or Sho-kun???
I can't pick!
I know, my answers seems to be biased to Nino and Sho.
This is because they are my main favorites in Arashi.
CONCLUSION:
If miracles do happen for me, and I happened to be involved personally with Arashi,
I would most likely be married to Sho Sakurai.
... But I'll have a secret affair with the devilish Kazunari Ninomiya!
Have just finished watching the 'Pikanchi: Life Is Hard Dakedo Happy' movie with subs.
From the start,
I really wasn't expecting much from this movie.
For me, the plot wasn't that interesting.
The only thing attracting me to the movie is... yep, you know it:
But I watched the movie anyway,
concentrating more on the story than Arashi (or at least I tried),
otherwise, there's no point in watching the movie.
Halfway through,
I feel that it's just another movie trying to depict the stories of a group of close friends and each of their growing pains.
So I was watching the movie... half bored...
It came on to the scene where they all have sunk the 'party ship'.
They were all going back happily to Nino's house.
Then Nino stopped laughing midway because he saw the dead body of his father hung up from the ceiling.
... and I realized I had tears in my eyes.
But then,
the story wrapped up nicely.
It was really heartwarming when all of them sang the 'Michi' song.
I think the only part that kept me interested enough to watch the second movie (besides the fact that there's Arashi)
is the part where Nino's father hung up himself.
Nino is now alone and went out to venture for new experience,
not having any particular plans at all but to get out of Yashio.
I'm pretty positive I'm not being biased now,
but Nino's character is the only one I'm looking forward to.
It's pretty deep.
